Funding your legal fees

Fee structures to support all

Fear of being able to pay legal fees can deter people from accessing the specialist legal advice that they desperately need when dealing with divorce and family matters.  It is important that you have a plan in place to pay your legal fees that will enable you to see your case through to the end.

There are a variety of ways in which you can fund the fees to include; funding the fees until your resources run out at which stage you may be fortunate enough to enlist financial assistance from either a family member or a friend. If the financial support is in the form of a loan then you should ensure that the loan is documented so that this will be recognised by the court as a debt that falls to be repaid.  Where this is not possible then you may be able to take out a loan to cover your legal fees.

Please note, I am unable to accept clients on a legal aid basis.
